Subject
Armstrong House Museum website

The Louis Armstrong House Museum is in the process of having its website
redesigned and rebuilt, and we're looking for help in completing the
technical aspects of the project.

BACKGROUND

1. The Louis Armstrong House Museum has had a presence on the web for many
years at www.satchmo.net -- now we will rebrand ourselves and open
www.louisarmstronghouse.org as our new website.
2. A design firm has already started the design work, and will build all
the pages in HTML.
WHAT WE NEED
Someone who's experienced in website construction, who can put in place
the following:
1. A simple CMS (Content Management System) or similar, that allows LAHM
to easily change, update, edit, and upload news and events on the website.
The three most recent news and events stories will be located on the
Homepage, and if you click on one of the links, you're taken to the full
story on a separate page. There should also be another page, where you can
access older news and events stories. (As an example, please visit
www.satchmo.net and www.satchmo.net/news/ )
2. A system that can manage an email newsletter. Visitors can easily
subscribe or unsubscribe from the newsletter on the homepage, and LAHM can
easily send out notices to all the subscribers through an admin panel or
similar.
3. Four simple HTML contact forms, that send the information on the forms
to LAHM in an email, and also send an automated email to the person who
submitted the form. A "thank you" screen is displayed on the screen after
the form is sumitted.
4. One secure contact form, that can securely transmit credit card
information and other information in an email to LAHM. (Note: no
commercial transactions will be performed through the form, there is no
shopping cart, or any such features.)
I would appreciate if you could help spread the word on this. If you know
of anyone who'd be qualified and might be interested in this, please have
them contact me for further details. Thank you.
Sincerely,
