EmailReach Position Requirements 
 
Title: Application Developer
1.      Excellent Java knowledge a MUST using Eclipse SDK with the 
following skill set:
a.      Socket/Network Programming. Familiarity with POP3/SMTP protocol 
extremely helpful.
b.      IO operations (eg: read from a file or an input stream, analyze 
the input then perform some operations on it)
2.      Strong C# in Visual Studio on .Net 2003 - This is the key 
requirement.
3.      Familiarity with the Windows, Linux and Macs environment in the 
following areas: 
a.      Performing network configurations (Primary Win some Linux/Mac)
b.      Application install/configuration (Primary Win some Linux/Mac)
c.      Unix shell scripting/operations/command knowledge a MUST.  (Fedora 
experience helpful). (Mac/Linux)
4.      Familiar with Apache JAMES mail server is extremely helpful, 
although not required.
5.      Basic SQL command knowledge a MUST. We use MS SQL Server. 
 
Applicant should have a lot of patience, possess good coding practices 
(code documentation is a MUST) and be able to work well on their own but 
is NOT afraid to ask questions of the other developers. Strong QA and 
testing practices are a must.
 
About EmailReach
EmailReach is a profitable start up based in Manhattan that offers email 
delivery diagnostics to small and medium-sized businesses. 
The position will join an existing development team that needs to 
transition the significant part of application development to this 
position. This is a part-time position leading to full-time as transition 
occurs.
