[CSCIUndergrad] Fw: Business/ MIS Analyst Internship for Accounting majors

In partnership with the Department of Corrections (DOC), the CUNY 
Institute for Software Design and Development (CISDD) has an exciting 
internship position available for CUNY graduate students. The program 
allows students to receive practical hands-on training and experience 
while assisting DOC in achieving their long-term technical objectives. The 
internship will be at DOC offices in NYC and the position is categorized 
as a Business/MIS Analyst Intern.  Although the location is at DOC, this 
is considered an on-campus position.
 
Qualifications for DOC interns:
 
Current CUNY registered MBA student or Accounting Major
Available to work 19 hrs/week or 28 hrs/week during the school year, 34 
hrs/week during the summer
Authorized to work under INS laws for on-campus jobs
 
Work responsibilities 
 
Interns needed to assist with billing, tracking, and financial modeling. 
Duties will include:
 
·        Coordination of contracts with vendors
·        Capital budgeting and budget analysis
·        Developing reports and conducting analysis for strategic decision 
making
 
Skills needed:
 
·        Exceptional writing and communication skills 
·        Good overall MIS knowledge
·        Interest in requirements gathering
·        Interest in operational procedures
·        Ability to perform financial analysis and assist in evaluating 
technical and product options
 
Pay Rate:
 
·        $12-$14 per hour
